Spacex launch from 900 miles away

That's super cool! I was surprised I could see it from about 500 miles. 900 is a whole different level!

My house is at 4700 ft and I have a great view to the W-SW. I’ve tried to catch a Vandenberg launch several times but it’s always been cloudy.

I still go out to watch and cheer for it.

Everyone used to get up and watch J motor launches. Then they became common place.
Then we would watch all the M’s, but not any more.
How long before we are so jaded we won’t get up to watch a Falcon launch.
For me I’m hoping never.
