The CM was one of my earliest acquisitions. I think it was listed as a skill level 2 kit. I remember thinking at the time that it was badly mislabeled. Mine took over 2 years to complete because I would get so frustrated with it that I would put it aside.
I remember that it was the very first time I ever used Elmer's FnF. It was unthinned. It took forever to sand all that goop off.
I remember being frustrated because some of the vacform parts did not align as I thought they should.
I remember being frustrated by my inability to get it trimmed even after it was built.
I also remember that it was a sweet looking kit and wishing it performed better.
I nicknamed mine, "Tort Reform". I got one "flight" out of it. It went horizontal not far off the pad and powered into the ground about 100 yards away. When the ejection charge went off, it blew the motor housing right back to the launch pad and the rocket was not salvageable.
It was a learning experience and I know that some people have built some really nice looking ones. I've even heard rumors that some people have managed to get them to perform well.
