While I have flown a few mid power rockets before, the Xray-1 https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?t=11704&highlight=xray-1 was
my first purpose built mid power rocket.

I loaded it up with two E9 motors, put it on my Holverson designs launch pad,
and let her fly. It was great,(for the most part). Very straight boost, parachute opened at apogee. Everything was perfect.

Then it happened. It just kept drifting!:y:
If you look hard enough you can see where it ended up. And I do mean up.
Way up in the top of a tall tree.

While on the Quasarone web page ( https://www.quasaronerockets.com/index.html) deciding which rockets to choose, I liked both the Xray-1 and the
US Army XR-7930. Since I was on a cluster kick at the time I picked the Xray-1.
I liked so much I made this BT60, 2-18mm motor down scale. Flew good on two
B6-4s. Next time Quest C6-5 long burns.:)
