I had one plastic Mosquito style nose cone left and needed a rocket to go with it.
This model is based on how Greg Poehlein does his downscales, the outside skin is wrapped around a BT-5. Greg prefers (and gets better results with)
a heavy gloss stock, but I did my wrap with 24 lb. paper.
I like to build up fins using a three ply of 110 lb. (print), cereal box cardboard and 110 lb. (print)
On this model, the wing print is only on top. The standoff and vane (in the top tube) are just unprinted white.
The nose cone shoulder had to be shortened a bit.
The only tough part of the build was getting the right color for the nose cone toe.
I sprayed it orange and followed with a light dusting of WalMart Colorplace Almond. It gave it a nice "cartoony" flesh color without going too pink.
Sorry, once again I can't attach the PDF, the file is too large for the forum.
