Their website is still running, but I have failed to contact them. I may be interested in one of their kits. Are they out of business, or are they still selling. If they are still selling, how may I be able to contact them?

Thanks!

I am still here. Had some personal and health issues pull me away from rocketry for a while. Right now I'm getting some Nike Smokes and Aerobee Hi's ready to ship. Have been spending LOTS of time re-working the Vostok kit, moving parts to the laser cutter, adding more details and making it a much easier kit to assemble. I'm just finishing up a few small details and starting to get parts made for the first batch. Once I get done with this I'll get the BBII and BBVC back in production. The Nike Apache is on hold right now because I'm out of Apache tubes and it's $$$ to get some made. This has also been my slowest selling kit. If I hear enough need for this kit I'll put it back on the to do list.

Please bear with me as I get back up to speed.

I have other builds that are higher priority, but once I am done with them, I may be interested in a BBII. The kit I would want after that would actually be the Nike apache. Eventually, if I do get a Nike apache, you could just send me the parts other than the tubes; I could provide my own tubes, if they are common sizes. (If it makes it cheaper)

I have your Nike Smoke and Aerobee-Hi kits. Currently building the Aerobee. The Aerobee kits are fantastic. Nothing like it out there. Looking for the BBII and yes a Nike Apache! Good luck with all the personal and health stuff. Cheers!

How are you going to sell the Vostok kits?
I have enough materials to build 7-9 kits. After that I'll need to get new booster tubes, that could take a month or two just to get them. After that I only have enough core tubes for another ~20 kits, then I'll need to get those too. It's going to be slow at first, I'll be doing my best to get them to everyone that whats one. The first few will be direct sales, after that I'll send some to Apogee.

I'm interested in buying one or two of your Aerobee Hi - two stage kits. Can you please let me know when those might be available, price and ordering information? Thank you.

Check the FB page instead of the website.
Apogee announced on the Cosmodrome FB page that they had the BB II and BB VC five days ago.
BB II quickly sold out, BB VC has four units left.

Is there more than one cosmodrone Facebook pages? The last post was June of last year.

I see they were posted on the apogee Facebook page... are they the sole distributers.?.. I haven't checked apogee just keep checking cosmodrone.. go figure

How do you get such tubes? What company do you order them from?
You order in large quantities (and large dollar amounts usually) and hope the company produces them to the spec you ordered the first time. Not all vendors are willing to share their sources of parts.

I'm still here. My primary job has been really hectic lately, so I haven't been able to put the time into rockets that I should be. To answer a few of the questions here:
1) Right now Apogee is my sole distributor, Like I said, I haven't been able to keep up.
2) The Nike Apache is currently out of stock, I'd like to get it going again later this year, but the body tubes are $$$ to restock. This has traditionally been my lowest seller, but I know there are a few people that want one. They are a custom size tube.
3) Currently working on getting the Vostok re-designed and available again. It's been almost as much work as when I first designed the kit. I have a few outstanding issues to resolve, but I have started to get parts for the first batch ready.
4) I have a batch of Aerobee Hi's going out in the next week, will also start working on more NS, BBII and BBVC.

Have you considered other sounding rockets based on the 2.63” body tube? The Iris is a similar nose cone profile to the Aerobee. I have yet to see a Iris kit with the correct nose cone dimensions (except the small Semroc version).

Great news. I always wish I could buy one of your Nikes.

I've built a 3" version of the IRIS. Never finished because the nose cone is stupid big. I also built a booster to go with it, but never got the nerve to fly it (probably a good thing). If I go with a 2.63" tube this would be much more doable.

I've also considered the IQSY Tomahawk, D-Region Tomahawk and Sandia Tomahawk, to name a few.

The reason I mentioned the Iris is the cool factor with roll pattern and the colors, much like the BBII. Even at 2.63" the nose cone would be impressive!
