As mentioned a few posts back in one of my monologues, the Standard ARM had a failed attempt at certifying Level III due to a failure of the main chute to deploy properly...the posted picture below is the only damage the rocket incurred from a flat spin fall from 1,000ft.

...oh yeah, it got dirty too!

Overnight quick repair of the coupler/ejection charge assembly in the hotel room...

Here I am contemplating taking Mark Canepa's offer on the Aerotech M1279...what a scorcher that M1882 was...that rear is toast!!

Long story short, Sunday was a different day...everything worked, and I obtained my TRA Level III certification.

Saturday's alt's:

6,865 (MAWD) No report from the HA45 do to a wire coming loose on the hard landing.

Sunday:

6,868 (MAWD) 6,812 (HA45) The MAWD altimeter is reporting very consistant results of performance for the Loki M1882...(note: no info downloaded as of this posting)

My wife caught this only pic from a '1000-yard stare' which is still better than the column of smoke from Saturday's launch.

Thanks for reading this blog (thread) hopefully I will have some links to some killer video to post, until then, I consider Project Blackhawk R&D 5.5" Standard ARM closed...

Congrats on your L3 man. It was a real bummer seeing the first flight fail, but on the good side we got to see another M go up the next day;)

Also it was nice meeting you.
