Oopsie! I saw this on Facebook awhile back. Thought you were building another. Ditch the NO GOOD, STINKING, PERFORMANCE ROBBING NOSE WEIGHT! Ditch the motor in back! This is a silly oddroc! The dark side flows strong with this one.Ready to fly and launch!
Wanted to share it here and had forgotten. I am building another. Waiting for the 3d printing to be done. W/o nose weight completely unstable.Oopsie! I saw this on Facebook awhile back. Tungsten nose weight rules in tight spaces. Demonstrates a good deal of desperation with an oddroc design. I used it in my DO 217N night fighter rocket...loved it. But a tad pricey!Nice.
No, as I didn't have great hopes. FYI 5oz of tungsten in the nose.
If that thing actually flew straight I was ready to turn in my badge and walk away. It actually flew considerably better than I expected.Ready to fly and launch!
I like to think that that was my most controlled out of control flight to date.If that thing actually flew straight I was ready to turn in my badge and walk away. It actually flew considerably better than I expected.
Either way, nifty and entertaining.
So the rocket successfully passed a swing test? Did you balance it with the nose downward 10 to 15 degrees? After spin test I gave it a silver coat.
