Hey All
Our Kronos team has a project where we are detaching booster pods after burnout. We have a couple methods we are testing but the latest is using the servo outputs from the Proton, unfortunately in the document is says:
Other suggestions? On the test list is a linear actuator. We are hoping to not venture into the pyro side unless our methods prove difficult.

So this was bad news for us but the real question, the Quasar does not have the same wording. Does anyone know is the Quasar can activate a servo at a specific time after burnout but before apogee? Or is it the same as the Proton. The Proton provides support for servos on CH1-CH3, in the Drogue and Main modes. This means that you can only use a servo "on the way down", which is pretty typical of what people want to do with them. You can not use a servo with Airstart mode, since it's not designed for triggering on descent.
Other suggestions? On the test list is a linear actuator. We are hoping to not venture into the pyro side unless our methods prove difficult.
