I've been working with a local high school for 12 year's..Doing our own things.
This year we did sort of a tortoise and Hare using 3 grain 54mm motors..
AT J135 - AT J415
The following photos/screenshot tell the story.

What a great experiment, Tony !

The Tortoise with a J135 and 1,069 Ns beat the Hare with a J415 and 1,232 Ns !

The moral of the story is slow and strady wins the race ( or: burn those Ns's up high where there is less air :)

Thanks for what you do and thanks for sharing, Tony !

p.s. the AT RMS 54/1280 J415W is STILL one of my favorite motors :) :) :)

It can make for a "harey" flight with the right rocket ( like you and your team flew )

EDIT: p.p.s. what are those deployment sacks made from ?
