So, I'm auctioning this kit:
eBay listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Estes-Sweet-Vee-2116-R-C-Rocket-Glider-OOP-/383243766744
The Estes Sweet Vee (kit #2116) is an R/C Rocket Glider that was available from 1995 to 1998. It was the best glider of the three R/C R/G’s Estes had in the 90’s. Two channel control, rudder/elevator V-tail. Wingspan of 55”, glide mass of 16-18 ounces.
It has a mechanical mixer, but is best to use electronic mixing for the V-tail (one servo per control surface). This kit can be modified to use 29mm motors, or 32mm reloads such as the G12.
Kit has been opened but has all parts. The instructions were missing, but have been reprinted from a copy of the instructions.
I will provide advice to the auction winner on building the kit, from how to apply epoxy to the wing skins, to modifications such as making room for a larger diameter motor mount (to go from 24mm up to 32mm). I built one of these (modified for 32mm) in the 1990’s, and have built many other R/C R/G’s thru the years.
