My vintage Estes Space Shuttle #1284 is done sans a clear coat in 30 days! Sorry no pics today…stay tuned for tomorrow! 
My vintage Estes Space Shuttle kit #1284 is basically complete sans a clear matte coat in about 30 days. I had a problem with the elevon hinges and had to try to reposition. It didn’t sit back down well so I’m going to have to lift them a little and get some adhesive on them. Other than that little screw up I’m pretty happy with the latest edition to my NASA historic fleet of rockets!

If you happen to have this kit, are getting one or are working on some other Soace Shuttle project I have found two awesome resources in helping me finish my model. The first is https://www.axmpaperspacescalemodels.com/old/REFERENCE.html. I’ll post the second next.

Well I finished this model a month ago. Today I was able to shoot the entire rocket with a satin clear coat. Therefore a short rotating video and a few still shots being posted today. This is a vintage Estes #1284 Space Shuttle kit circa late 70s.
