Well, I launched her on another flight a few weeks ago. It was on a Quest BP motor.
The edges of the shroud were burned badly, as were two fins.
I knew something was wrong when it came down in a flat spin.
The clay weight got burned off.
It was then that I vowed to rebuild her.
Better, faster, stronger.
Voila!
Salvaged the nose cone, motor tube and balsa former. Just had to print the shell, fins and canopy.
And glue some clay to the bottom.
The former was also charred, but usable. I'm going to paint the interior with high heat paint. Hopefully it will last a little longer.
The good news is it only cost me a few cents (paper, ink and clay) to rebuild her.
