Some months ago my Sport Rocketry article on the Upscale Estes Corkscrew appeared. I have prepared the STL files, cut templates and instructions for a BT-70 29-mm corkscrew for folks wishing to build their own. It can fly on 29 or 24 mm motors.
Enclosed are the STL files for the bulkheads, fin cut template and body tube cut template. I also put them on dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/9vhmvn3py3l5onz63o8vp/h?rlkey=51mmpefu2kf75n49kp12hvafv&dl=0. Also on dropbox are STL for a 2-piece nose cone and conformal rail nuts.
There are two fin configurations to choose from. First, a spin tap, like the original Estes kit, gives a small corkscrew flight path and fast spin. Second, there is a canted fin option. This gives a very broad corkscrew flight patten.
The motor bulkhead is in two parts with built in alignment jig and slots for the fins.
Enjoy,
Curtis
