After years of high alt MD builds and flights I’m finally stepping into my main goal in rocketry, a flight over 100K’. In order to ensure I have as much experience as possible I’m starting with a simple (advanced for me) 54 to 54 MD rocket. Constructed with WM Airframe and FWFG Nosecone, I’ll be also using my signature composite layup which has been flight proven to Mach 3. The Agena I mission will fly to 35K’ at NCR in April, with another higher altitude flight to 45K’ at NSL West.
Motor config for test flight:
CTI K1200 to AT K185
I’ll be posting my research into how I’ll be hopefully lighting the sustainer, using a quick connect wiring harness, and a custom igniter. For those with two stage experience advice for this would be greatly appreciated.
