So while digging through my supplies I found an Executioner that I started a long while ago. I'm guessing it was before I joined here and started learning building techniques, because for some reason I have the engine mount and centering rings all glued in place and the fins still unattached. I'm leaving it as the stock 24mm mount so my question is will it be ok without internal fillets as long as I have a nice bead of glue on the root endges and good external fillets?

Cool thanks! As soon as I finish trying to get the warpage out of the fins I will finish this rocket. Too cool of a rocket to leave sitting around unfinished.

Warped fins where common on this one. I put mine in a vise for a week or two, rotate ing and flipping them periodically. The directions have you put the MMT in first. Should be no problem. I did have to cut the slots open a bit more.

The slots were cut too small on all of the Executioner body tubes. An emery board works well for opening them up a tad. Put a nice big bead of glue on the root edge of the fins (maybe epoxy since it's thicker than white glue) before you install them, this should take care of the internal bonding.

You should be fine with no internal fillets. I built mine per the kit instrutions with no internal fin fillets only external. I did lay down a nice bead along the entire root edge and the tab that meets the engine tube. The fin bond seems very secure using this method, I also was unaware of applying internal fiilets at the time of the build. My fins were also pretty warped and was prepared for a "barber pole spin" but to my suprise it flys straight as an arrow on D12 and E9 engines.

Good luck with the build.
Mike
