After reading about the heavy and underpowered 18mm version, I upgraded the motor mount to 24mm, and it flies really nicely on C11-3's. The build review is on EMRR here https://www.rocketreviews.com/estes-venus-probe-24mm-mike-goss.html

I finished this one about three years ago. I upgraded the lower BT to a thick wall bt, and changed the design to 24mm. I have roughly fifteen flights, all using D12-3. Every flight has been just about perfect, cool rocket!
