An oldie but Goodie Flying 18mm 2-stage is the old Estes Delta Star #1322 purchased in 1980 I didn't get around to building it until 1983 but it or as much of it as I could recovery LOL has been flying in my fleet ever since.

Orginal build was painted Candy Apply Grape over Gold basecoat with Fluorescent Red/orange fin on each stage. Forgot what C6's would do on its 5th flight lost the sustainer under the stock 12" parasheet, Still had the Booster so Rebuild the sustainer from stock parts.
This time I Painted it Chrome silver with Yellow, red and fluorescent fins, Switched out the chute with a 2" x 60" Crepe paper streamer which kept the sustainer coming back until an C6-0 failed to ignite an Oop B14-5 sustainer during and OOP motor flight crumpling the sustainers BT-50 body badly. Recovered the NC fins and booster, Saved the sustainer motor mount and recovery system and later flew that same B14-5 in another model on a great flight.
3rd rebuild required only replacing the sustainer BT-50, and a new paint job using Rustoleum Silver metallic and Ramona Red Fluorescent fins and NC.
Model is still flying well...when I fly 2-stage models LOL!
Log shows Delta Star with 15 flights, but I've yet to catch a single liftoff photo...I really need to buy an new 35mm.
