Back in the Day I was a Big Centuri supporter. Estes stuff was OK but the most interesting designs always seed to come from Centuri.

The SST Space shuttle is just another example. I believe it was introduced just about the same time as Estes OT?
I jumped on them both but as far as flying I'm always been a bigger fan of the SST..it's just SOOOOO sleek.

Here are a few pics of my first SST from back in the day and it's untimely demise at the hands of a Estes C6-3 Cato along with a couple of the Semroc/Centuri SST and one of it's flights.
I have to say the Semroc clone is just as Impressive and fun flying as the original from back in the day.

Love the Centuri SST.

One of my nicest rocket flights of my youth was the maiden voyage of my SST. I sweated over whether or not the glider would separate at apogee, so I made that connection loose. When I launched it, all things worked as advertised. The chute came out of the carrier and the shuttle made circles in the blue sky until it landed. I was one happy boy. :)

As much as my first love is scale rocketry ,I`m finding myself drawn more and more into these type of futuristic "jet like" starships ,and have started a small collection (soon to be much bigger)

And this example of John`s only serves to solidify that notion.I would love to have this in my collection !

Very nice !!

Thanks guys:
the Centuri or now Semroc-Centuri SST Shuttle-1 is a fantastic design. Paul you'll really enjoy building and flying it if you get one...I'd strongly suggest it.
