Photos of LOC Magnum at TCC's 2011 Dairy Aire.

She is 5.38" diameter, 3 engine cluster, outboard engines are set to airstart.

On the pad.

Was this on Saturday afternoon?

If so, I'm pretty sure i saw this flight. I distinctly remember the airstart.

Yes, Barry at LOC suggested 4 fins would be more stable so I added that and additional centering ring to make a fin can and had the 29mm & 38 mm motor tubes extend length all centering rings.[

:y:

The Magnum has been around for a looooong time, It flies great with 3 fins!
I've built one and cloned a second with slightly larger fins.

How much does your weigh with these mods?

Here's an old picture from ~1994. This was my first Loc Magnum and had flown many flights before this picture was taken. In this picture it's ready to launch on an Aerotech I357. The Magnum performed flawlessly as before.

Personally, this picture is very special to me, as the little boy in the picture is my youngest son Kyle (rocketkyle)....:)

With 4 fins, ebay for Dual deploy/9v batter/HIAlt45, comparment to hold airstart XCIC-2 9v batteries it comes to 172 oz ~10.7 lbs.

Add the 2xG76 with case motor cases and one J350 with case... it weighed in at TCC at 13 lbs.
