My Arcon from Semroc was my sixth rocket. It was a freebie that accompanied a large order. It did not particularly excite me but I built it because I thought it was easy and I really needed to build my skills.

When I built it, I had no idea it was a semi-scale of a real sounding rocket. I thought it was just a generic 4FNC. As such, I tried my had at creating my own paint job. I wanted to make it a metallic purple with metallic red nose cone and fins. The result was a disaster. It was ugly from day one. It flew OK but was the type of thing I was ashamed to be seen in public with.

This is Semroc's Retro-Repro Arcon-Hi originally sold by Centuri in 1965. I really like the simple clean lines on this rocket and Semroc estimates that it will hit 1800' on a C6-0/C6-5 combo. One innovative and unique (for 1965) feature shown in the 3rd photo is the double coupler staging system that is vented and allows for gap rather than CHAD staging. Semroc's faithful reproduction and high quality is highly appreciated here.
